Product Description:

Clutch release bearings, how much information of it do you learn? After this information will make you in clear, what and how of clutch release bearings.

Clutch release bearing is a relatively important part of the car, if the maintenance is not good failure, not only will cause economic losses, and disassembly is quite troublesome, need to spend a lot of man-hours. Therefore, to find out the causes of clutch release bearing failure, and in the use of reasonable maintenance and maintenance, to extend the life of the release bearing, improve labour productivity, to achieve better economic benefits are of great significance. Relevant standards check "JB/T5312-2001 automotive clutch release bearing and its unit".

Function

The clutch release bearing is installed between the clutch and the transmission, the release bearing seat is loosely set on the tubular extension of the bearing cover of the first shaft of the transmission, and the convex shoulder of the release bearing is always against the release fork through the return spring and backs up to the last position, keeping a clearance of about 3~4mm with the end of the release lever (release finger).

As the clutch pressure plate, release lever and engine crankshaft synchronous operation, and the fork can only move axially along the clutch output, direct use of the fork to dial the release lever is obviously not possible, through the release bearing can make the release lever while rotating a side of the clutch output axial movement, which ensures that the clutch can be smooth engagement, separation and soft, reduce wear and tear, prolong the clutch and the entire transmission system of the This ensures smooth engagement and soft release, reduces wear and prolongs the service life of the clutch and the entire driveline.

Performance
The clutch release bearing should move flexibly without sharp noise or jamming phenomenon, its axial clearance shall not exceed 0.60mm, and the wear of the inner seat ring shall not exceed 0.30mm.

Failure
If the clutch release bearing fails to meet the above requirements, a malfunction is considered to have occurred. After a malfunction occurs, the first thing to do is to judge which phenomenon belongs to the release bearing damage. After the engine starts, press the clutch pedal lightly, when the free stroke is just eliminated, the "rustle" or "squeak" sound, continue to press the clutch pedal, if the sound disappears, it is not a problem of the release bearing, if there is still a sound, it is the release bearing sound.

Check, you can remove the clutch cover, and then step on the accelerator pedal a little, slightly increase the engine speed. If the sound increases, you can observe whether there is a spark. If there is a spark, the clutch release bearing damage. If the spark is a stream of a stream out of the shape, indicating that the separation bearing ball broken. If there is no spark, but there is a metal crushing sound, indicating excessive wear.

Cause of damage
Clutch release bearing damage and driver's operation and maintenance, adjustment has a lot to do with the causes of damage are generally the following.

1)Overheating due to high working temperature.
Many drivers in the turn or deceleration, often half-pedal clutch, some gear foot is still placed on the clutch pedal; some vehicles free travel adjustment is too large, so that the clutch separation is not complete, in the half-engagement half-separation state, this state caused by dry friction and generate a lot of heat transfer to the release bearing, bearing heat to reach a certain temperature, the grease melted or diluted flow, so that the release bearing temperature is further increased! When the temperature reaches a certain level, it will burn out.

2) Lack of lubricant and wear
Clutch release bearing with grease lubrication, grease to join the two methods, for 360111 release bearing, should be in the maintenance or remove the transmission, the bearing back cover will be opened to fill in the grease, and then the back cover can be reloaded; for 788611K release bearing, it can be removed and placed in the molten grease immersion, cooled and then removed, can achieve the purpose of lubrication. In practice, drivers are prone to ignore this point, resulting in clutch release bearing oil shortage. In the case of no lubrication or less lubrication release bearing wear is often lubricated wear several times to dozens of times. Increased wear, the temperature will also have a great increase, so it is more likely to be damaged.

3) Freewheeling stroke too small or loaded too many times
According to the requirements, the general clutch release bearing and the clearance between the release lever for 2.5mm is more appropriate, reflected in the clutch pedal on the free travel of 30-40mm, free travel is too small or there is no free travel, will make the release lever and the release bearing in the state of constant engagement. According to the principle of fatigue damage, the longer the working time of the bearing, the more serious the damage; the more the number of times of loading, the more likely to produce fatigue damage of the release bearing. And the longer the working time, the higher the temperature of the bearing, the easier it is to burn, reducing the service life of the separation bearing.

4) In addition to the above three reasons, whether the separation lever is adjusted flat, whether the separation bearing return spring is good, the separation bearing damage also has a great impact.

Attention to use
1)According to the operation regulations, avoid half-engagement and half-disengagement state of the clutch, and reduce the number of times the clutch is used.
2)Pay attention to the maintenance, regularly or in the annual inspection and maintenance, use the steaming method to let the butter soak through, so that it has sufficient lubricant.
3) Pay attention to levelling the clutch release lever to ensure that the spring force of the return spring is in accordance with the regulations.
4)Adjust the freewheeling stroke to meet the requirements (30-40mm) and prevent the freewheeling stroke from being too large or too small.
5)Minimise the number of times of engagement and disengagement to reduce the shock load.

6)Step lightly and easily to make smooth engagement and disengagement.
